Tips to Help You Decorate your Classroom

We’re halfway through the school year; teachers and students alike are dying for fun ways to keep the classroom exciting. A quick and easy way to spice up your room is with posters. Here are a few tips and ideas!

- Have your kids create a piece of art on a sheet of paper – individually, or as a team of students. When they’re done, submit that art to PosterBrain to create a huge, amazing-quality print of their work to hang in your classroom. Seeing their artwork in such a grand, professional way will definitely keep them excited and proud to come to class

- Print a poster with the letters of the alphabet on it – each letter in the corner of its own empty box. Use dry erase markers to let students fill in the boxes with words and pictures related to each letter

- Every class has a list of “classroom rules,” but a lot of times, those rules are determined by some pre-made sign. Make your own classroom rules poster, where your students have a say in what those rules are! After all, it’s easier to follow rules if you helped create them.

Here at PosterBrain, our goal is to help make your job as a teacher easier. We’d love to hear your different classroom decoration ideas – what’s worked and what hasn’t, and we’d especially love to hear how we can better help YOU as a teacher.

If there’s something that’s an important theme in your classroom this year, make a poster! There’s nothing like a poster on the wall, staring down at them, to remind your students of what you’re trying to teach them.
