1963 is a year to remember for sure. It was the year the highlighter was born! Like many great things, there were a series of steps that had to occur first to aid in the production of this felt tipped pen of pure awesomeness. First, the felt tip pen, also known as the “magic marker,” was invented by Sidney Rosenthal. Next, the modern fiber-tipped pen (the first pen to use dyes rather than ink) was invented by Yukio Horie. Then the happy day occurred in 1963 when the Avery Corporation introduced translucent-ink into the felt tip pen cartridge. At first, this pen came in various pastel shades, but in 1978, fluorescent colors were introduced. And now we have these nifty little pens that not only draw attention to important sections of documents, but they also can be the highlight of any party!
Just like the highlighter, this awesome party couldn’t have occurred without a few steps. First you need an absolutely brilliant idea, then you need a venue, and then the tricky part, getting the word out. PosterBrain is here to help turn your already awesome fliers into awesome posters to help you highlight any event or party! Plus we throw in a special candy treat so that’s one less refreshment to worry about! Yay for parties and highlighters!
